• It is not a valve, it s a switch. It has a moving piece inside positioned by a spring. As liquid flows the internal piece moves and magnetically closes the contacts of the switch. The thread are compatible with 1 2 NPT.
• this work as a switch, it opens the circuit when water isn t flowing but it isn t for high current loads, If you need to power a pump you need to use a contactor or relay. Also you would need a small control circuit in order to prevent the pump to suddenly turn on and off by variations on the water flow switch.
• The flow Switch activates by the friction of water to a spring loaded and calibrated type of internal element. Air has a lower friction and it will activate at a much higher flows. It is only recommended to water or similar.
